GABLE HOUSE - CAROLE WHITING

 PROJECT

GABLE HOUSE - CAROLE WHITING

Gable House by Carole Whiting is a renovated Edwardian home in Armadale, NSW that retains its original period charm and renews it with a soothing and restorative energy. The generous proportions and subtle heritage details of this home - like cornices, archways and an ornate ceiling rose - give it an aesthetic that is equal parts clean and characteristic.

In the kitchen and bathroom sit Mori sconces by RBW, two cocoon-like luminaires that diffuse light using a papery woven textile. Chalk-white walls and pale timber are refreshingly undercut by black windowpanes and a dark bedroom accent wall. A Tempo wall light and pendant by Vibia flank the bed, their rounded diffusers creating a 360-degree ambient glow over each bedside. Vibia’s Pin floor and table lamps provide reading light to the lounge area and home office with their warm glow and clean-cut, minimalist silhouettes. Nearby, a North floor lamp is suspended from the ceiling and positioned with a counterweight over an inviting grey 3-seater.
