Presenting Vibia’s New 2020 Collection.

Introducing Flat, Sticks and Top, the latest offerings from renowned Spanish lighting brand Vibia.

The Flat range by Vibia has a unique approach to indirect light. Utilising its distinctive silhouette, it creates horizontal ‘planes’ of light – both direct and indirect. Flat metal plates are positioned at varying heights, reflecting the light within and enveloping their surroundings in a gentle glow.

Designed by Ichiro Iwasaki, the Flat series bears some similarity to the Pin. It creates a soothing and relaxed atmosphere in much the same way, with its gentle presence and earthy range of finishes. It comes in floor, pendant, table and ceiling models. When installed in pairs, two Flat lamps will complement each other’s lighting effects, capturing and reflecting light back and forth to create pockets of indirect illumination.

[Flat is] “a reflector lamp collection that connects a floating light source with a linear structure. Minimal reflector discs… provide simple and powerful universality like alphabets and musical scores.” – Ichiro Iwasaki.

Designed by Arik Levy, Sticks provides architects and lighting designers with a seemingly infinite creative toolkit for illuminating spaces. Striking and visually pure, it uses aluminium rods and slim LED units to create linear light sculptures which lean and float.

Sticks proposes one solution for every space, allowing you to connect the components yourself or create a custom configuration with Vibia. Custom configurations include ceiling-to-ceiling, wall-to-wall, floor-to-wall, wall-to-ceiling, or suspended applications.

The collection has three sizes – 1.5m, 2m or 3m – and each length can be connected end-to-end up to a maximum length of 6.5m. Zig-zags, geometric shapes, and intersecting lines can all be created using the Sticks range.

“The professionals see the space differently from others. Sticks becomes their Lighting Toolkit to create whatever they think is correct because they know the space they are working on.” – Arik Levy.

The Top range of wall and ceiling lamps combines gentle spherical forms with a warm colour temperature. The result is a series of glowing beacons that serve as both statement lights and subtle illuminants. Designed by Ramos & Bassols, this collection is characterised by a glowing focal point, surrounded by a larger disc which effortlessly frames and reflects the light source.

The series is crafted from aluminum and comes in extra-small, small, medium, and large sizes. The smaller Top models create indirect light as an aluminium plate conceals the diffuser within. The larger models do not have a concealed diffuser, and instead produce ambient general light.

Top’s gentle finish range includes sky blue, powder pink and mint green, making it a soothing addition to any space. While it predominantly comes with a 2700K colour temperature, 4000K is available on request making it suitable for offices, clinics and retail fitouts.
